Steel brackets and stainless-steel assemblies where foot control supports heat adjustment and spare parts support routine torch maintenance.
TIG Practice and Skill Building
Practice on suitable steel or stainless-steel coupons while coordinating pedal, torch, and filler-rod movement.
Mixed Shop Repair Work
Use DC TIG for suitable joints or switch to MMA/Stick with separately purchased electrodes and task-appropriate PPE.
How to Use the Kit
Identify the base metal and select suitable tungsten, compatible torch parts, and filler metal; prepare a clean joint.
Disconnect input power before making connections. Attach the WP-26 torch, work clamp, gas hose, and foot pedal as directed in the manual.
Connect a compatible regulator or flow control and a filled argon cylinder, then verify gas delivery and the required input-power setup.
Select a supported DC TIG pedal-control mode, set suitable parameters, and make a test weld on matching scrap material.
Adjust amperage with the pedal during the weld; replace worn torch parts only with correctly matched components.
For MMA/Stick work, change the setup as directed in the manual and use suitable separately purchased electrodes; the TIG foot pedal is not used.
Additional Equipment and PPE Still Required
TIG welding requires a filled argon cylinder, compatible regulator or flow control, correctly matched filler metal when needed, and a suitable power circuit and connection. MMA/Stick welding requires compatible Stick electrodes.
Use a properly rated welding helmet, welding gloves, protective clothing, and all other task-appropriate PPE. Shielding gas, cylinder, regulator or flow control, filler rods, Stick electrodes, and PPE are not listed as extras in this kit.
